Privacy Policy
What we collect, why, who else sees it, and how to get it back or deleted.
Horsefilweb collects two kinds of information: what your browser sends when you read a page, and what you give us when you order or write to us. We use it to run the site, fulfil orders and answer questions. We do not sell personal information. To ask for a copy of your data or to have it deleted, email contact@horsefilweb.com.
What we collect
1. Information you give us
When you place an order, the order desk collects your name, email address, postal address, phone number and payment details, because it cannot send you a parcel or take a payment without them. When you email the website inbox, we have your email address and whatever you wrote.
2. Information your browser sends
Standard web server information: your IP address, the page you asked for, the time, your browser and operating system, and the page you came from. Every web server records this, and it is how a site knows whether a page is broken.
3. Analytics
Aggregate measurements of how pages are used: which pages get read, how long people stay, which links get clicked. Used to work out which pages are useful.
4. What we do not collect
We do not ask for health information on this website and you should not send it to us. There is no health questionnaire, no symptom quiz and no "assessment" funnel — which are common in this category and are usually lead-generation tools rather than assessments. If you email us about a reaction, you are choosing to tell us, and we keep that message only as long as we need it to help you.
5. Payment details
Card details are handled by the order desk's payment processor. This website does not receive, store or process card numbers.
Why we hold it, and for how long
| Data | Why we hold it | Roughly how long |
|---|---|---|
| Name, address, phone | To fulfil and deliver your order | As long as needed for the order, returns and tax records |
| Email address | Order confirmation, tracking and replies | As above |
| Order history | To handle returns under the 60-day guarantee | As required for accounting and tax |
| Emails you send us | To answer you | Until the matter is resolved, then archived, then deleted on a schedule |
| Server logs | Security and fixing broken pages | A short period, then discarded |
| Analytics | Working out which pages are useful | Aggregate, not tied to you |

Order records are kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, which in the United States is generally several years and is not something we can waive on request. If you ask for deletion, we delete what we can and tell you what we cannot delete and why, naming the reason rather than citing "legal requirements" generically.
Who else sees it
- The order desk and its fulfilment partner, to pick, pack and ship your parcel.
- The payment processor, to take payment. This website never sees your card number.
- The carrier, to deliver the parcel. They see your name and address.
- Our hosting provider, which necessarily processes server logs.
- Law enforcement or a regulator, where we are legally required to respond.
What we do not do
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent or trade mailing lists. We do not pass your details to other supplement companies, and we do not build advertising profiles from what you read on this site. In this category that last one matters: the pages you read here are not something you want following you around the internet.
How this website is built, and why that matters here
This site is a set of static HTML pages. There is no login, no user account, no database of visitors and no shopping cart on this domain. That is a design decision with a privacy consequence.
| Common on sites like this | Here |
|---|---|
| Third-party advertising pixels | None |
| Retargeting and audience-building tags | None |
| Session recording or heatmap scripts | None |
| A "health assessment" quiz that captures an email | None |
| Exit-intent pop-ups | None |
| Embedded social media widgets | None |
| A JavaScript framework that phones home | None. One small script, written in-house |
The practical effect is that reading this website leaves a smaller trace than reading most commercial pages. That is partly principle and partly speed: every tracker you do not load is a request that does not delay the page.
Cookies, email and your rights
Cookies
This website sets no advertising cookies. The checkout is handled by the order desk on its own pages, which set whatever is needed to carry your basket through to payment, governed by that provider's own policy. Your browser can block or clear cookies at any time and nothing here breaks if you do.
Email you might receive
- Order confirmation and tracking. Part of the transaction; you cannot opt out of these and would not want to.
- A reply to your email. Because you wrote to us.
- Refund confirmation. When a return is processed.
- Marketing email. Only if you opted in, and there is an unsubscribe link in every message.
Your rights
- A copy of what we hold about you. Email contact@horsefilweb.com from the address you ordered with.
- A correction, if something we hold is wrong.
- Deletion, subject to records we are legally required to keep.
- To stop marketing email, using the unsubscribe link or by asking us.
- To know who we shared it with, within the categories listed above.
State privacy laws in the United States, including California's, give residents specific rights of access and deletion. We apply the rights above to everyone who asks, regardless of where you live, because operating two standards is more trouble than it is worth.
Children
This website is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us information, email contact@horsefilweb.com and we will delete it.
Security
Pages are served over HTTPS. Payment is handled by a processor that never exposes card numbers to this website. No system is perfectly secure, and anyone who tells you otherwise is overstating it.
What we do not do with your data
Privacy policies are usually written as a list of permissions the company is claiming. It is more useful to read the short list of things that are not happening, so here it is.
- We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
- We do not publish your name, your order, or anything you write to us.
- We do not use anything you tell this desk about your health for marketing. If you mention a condition in an email about an order, it stays in that email.
- We do not enrol you in a subscription or a mailing list because you bought something. Marketing email requires you to opt in, and every one of them has an unsubscribe link that works.
If you believe any of those has been broken, that is a complaint worth making directly: contact@horsefilweb.com or +1 (302) 200-3480, and say in the first line that it is a privacy complaint so it is routed properly.
How long we keep things
Data that is kept forever is data that can leak forever. These are the periods we work to, and they are shorter than the industry norm on purpose.
| Record | Kept for | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Order and delivery records | As long as tax and accounting law requires | We do not get to choose this one |
| Payment card details | Not held by us at all | The payment processor holds them; we see the last four digits and nothing else |
| Support emails | Two years from the last message in the thread | Long enough to handle a repeat problem, short enough not to be an archive |
| Marketing subscribers | Until you unsubscribe, then removed | An unsubscribe is a deletion, not a flag |
| Website analytics | Aggregated; not tied to your name | We want page counts, not a profile of you |

Deletion requests are handled inside thirty days. Where an order record has to be kept for tax reasons we will tell you which record it is and why, rather than quietly keeping it.
Cookies, in the boring detail
This site uses the smallest set of cookies it can and still function. There are three kinds and only one of them is optional.
- Strictly necessary
- Your cart, your session, and the security tokens that stop someone else submitting a form as you. These cannot be turned off without breaking checkout, and they do not identify you to anyone outside this site.
- Preference
- Small settings such as whether you have dismissed a notice. Harmless, expire quickly, and hold nothing about who you are.
- Measurement
- Aggregate page counts so we know which pages get read. Optional. Declining them changes nothing about how the site works for you.
Your browser can block all of them. If you block the strictly necessary set, checkout will not work — that is a limitation of how carts work rather than a choice we made.
Children
This site is for adults. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, write to contact@horsefilweb.com and we will delete it.
Making a privacy request
- Email contact@horsefilweb.com from the address you used to order, so we know the request is yours without asking for more identification than we need.
- Say which of the four things you want: a copy, a correction, deletion, or to stop marketing email.
- If you are asking about an order, include the order ID.
- We will confirm receipt and tell you what we hold, what we can delete and what we are required to keep.
- If we cannot do something you asked for, we will name the reason.
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. There is no separate archive of previous versions; the date is the version.
